Dragana Bar
2018/2023
Neon light
A pink triangle inside a green circle, an existing sign that gestures towards a safer space. The triangle evokes a history of resistance to queerphobia, through the repurposing of the pink triangle by the ACT UP-movement. The neon sign was initially developed during the residency Kem Care at Moma Warsaw in 2018 and is present during various events such as Dragana Bar, a club night which hosts new phenomena in dance music, sound-based art and smaller scale performance.
For the occasion of GIBCA 2023, Kem will organise Dragana Bar as part of the vernissage program a celebration. The line-up includes performance by Filipka Rutkowska and DJ sets by Facheroia, androgienia and Krzysztof.

BIOGRAPHY
Kem is a Warsaw-based queer feminist collective focused on choreography, performance and sound at the interface with social practice and community building. Since 2021 Kem hosts an experimental, alter-institutional educational program in Warsaw called Kem School. Their projects are characterised by hybridity and fluidity, blurring the boundaries between art, curating, education, activism, clubbing and community-making practices. It is a community created in the process of collaboration and engagement with the politics of embodiment, feeling and subjectivity in relation to collectivity. Kem experiments with formats and strengthens queer, feminist and anti-racist artistic practices and discourses.
