Vaenir-Råbäcksgruppen

 The Råbäck group consists of a group of contemporary artists / artisans / photographers who live and work in the area around Råbäck Kinnekulle on the shores of Lake Vänern. 

Råbacksgruppen wants to dig where they stand and work for a free and a more self- organized cultural life without intermediaries in collaboration with “folkbildningen”.  

In the evening we see the sun go down over Lake Vänern. In the gap between light and dark, we send out our dreams and hopes over the largest lake of Sweden. The lake’s name is said to be derived from the Old Norse Vaenir, hope and friend. Dreams and hopes woven together with dreams from thousands of years of wishes for hope. Legends and ghosts from the past weave into our webs.
