Textil stadsvandring i Alingsås
Join us on a city walk where we do a textile-specific reading of Alingsås. Not too long ago, Alingsås was a significant textile city which today is unknown to many. But already in the 18th century, the city’s son, Jonas Alström (noble Alströmer), built his manufactory. In central locations in the city there are bust sculptures of him and the manufacturer Charles Hill, who in 1862 founded Alingsås cotton weaving, along with other representatives of textile companies. If we look at theese places and listen to them carefully, perhaps we discover the many voices? The walk is given in Swedish.
