Skjønnhet I-V. Janne-Camilla Lyster

Skjønnhet I-V is a dance performance by writer and choreographer Janne-Camilla Lyster. The basis for the work is five choreographic scores, written in the form of choreographic poems, that can be read both as poetry and dance. The scores have been reshaped through the dancers‘ and pianist’s reading and practice, where they established a sensory relationship to the text. The performance is characterized by curiosity, playfulness and a contemplative approach to the performance situation. The project has roots in the so-called New York school that emerged in the 1950s and 60s and contributed to the expansion of the traditional concept of art by finding new ways to collaborate and create works.
