Artist talk – Karin Lundgren Tallinger 

In connection with opening, artist Karin Lundgren Tallinger will have a talk about her artistry. Karin works with fragments and fragility as a starting point för her art. She works with brittle, delicate embroideries like sparse nets in a technique where an enormous amount of stitches creates surfaces that binds together small handcolored pieces of textile. Karin will also talk about her scolarship stay at the rural community center of Stora Stegerhult in Liared, Ulricehamns kommun, summer of 2021. During her stay she collected plants that were used for dyeing textiles.
