Kollektiva kroppar – Interactive performance by Katxerê Medina and Oscar Svanelid
This interactive performance is inspired by an artistic treatment method developed in the 1970s as a critique of Brazilian fascism’s rule of a society populated by sensitive and strictly separated bodies. After a short introduction, the participants are offered to lie down comfortably on mattresses. With their eyes closed, they get to feel how different objects (for example, flowers, shells, stones, plastic bags and rubber tubes) are placed on their bodies. In the meantime, sound therapeutic tools such as tuning forks are also used. Can we create a foundation for a community of bodies through this artistic method of treatment?
