Johan Ibrahim Adam – Broken Wings / Promised Land

The solo exhibition Broken Wings / Promised Land by the artist Johan Ibrahim Adam is shown in Galleri Konstepidimin’s large and small room. In the exhibition, the artist shares a world that distorts and unites mythology, politics and post-colonial heritage through painting, glass, sculpture and textile works. Adam works within methods that can seem playful, but at the same time a dialogue is conducted regarding identity – partly by raising questions about what we actually know and don’t know regarding the past, partly how storytelling contributes to influencing contemporary ways of thinking.
