The artwork is a swing that will be installed from the Älvsborgbron in Gothenburg. With a height of about 40 meters, the audience will be able to see the bridge with new eyes and perhaps be reminded of the freedom and weightlessness of childhood. Lisa Holmgren’s artwork hopes to create a feeling of joy and lightness while also bringing to mind the sad questions associated with the bridge. The swing is a counterpart to Shelley Sharr’s work in the tunnel, but a form that relies on gravity as its driving force and energy as its primary tool.
